Richard Sherman makes great play, then goes nutty for post game interview.

Ah well, gotta give him some credit for adding more spice to the Superbowl.

And we wonder why kids act like it's all about them these days...

Thank you Richard Sherman for setting a terrible example for our youth. Twitter timeline was flooded with recruits saying he was one of their new favorite players after that.

Anybody who ever believed that the NFL-Pro Football players have ever been about sportsmanship, class, or being gentlemen really has been playing Fantasy Football.

Take it easy guys, that was a much better, real-life response than the typical, "give the other team credit" sound bytes. He didn't swear or do anything vulgar.

And what's worse, Fox showing the replay of the 49ers leg bending 10x or Sherman's interview?

You beat the **** out of one another for 4 hours and you stick a mic in front of a guy less than 5 minutes after the game. Adreneline is still flowing.

The WORST thing Sherman did was slapping Crabtree on the butt and trying to shake his hand right after that play when there was still a minute left. THAT was classless. The interview was fine.

A lot of the outrage is racial too IMO. If it was a white guy doing the same thing, the narrative would be "PEDs!". Since it's a black guy, it's a "he's an animal!" take.

Nothing about it is racial. The guy acted like a classless fool when he should have been humble and acknowledged it as a team victory. Bad form is putting it lightly.

While classless, the outrage is completely overblown.

I'm not saying you're being racist, but I just think the outcry would be MUCH different if the guy was white.

The "outrage" is just there to get viewers/clicks.

I think my cousins "is this wrestling?" text was spot on. The NFL promoting it adds to that. They rallied nicely after having him with the Fox guys.

Still can't figure out what that was all about though, I've seen many on the spot mike jobs but that was the weirdest one yet.

You think it's "outcry"? I think it's morbid curiosity, looking at a guy who just lost his wig or false teeth. He's a well spoken man. I've seen him do Fox interviews on their set, thought that he'd be an announcer someday. So out of character, just proof that all of us have many sides.

Well like anything else now, I can't tell what's worse, the feigned outrage at the initial act, or the feigned outrage at the initial outrage. Keep reaching for that moral high ground and make sure you corner anyone who had an opinion on this in an uncomfortable spot.

Sherman is a pro football player, not a teacher or a preacher.

Get over it.

He is also -- whether he likes it or not -- a role model for kids.

Haven't seen any posts here railing about Dave Agema.

Not if their parents, coaches, teachers, ministers, scout leaders, etc. do a good job with them.

Really tired of everything being racial these days. Guy was a douche in the heat of the moment, not even arguing the heat of the moment piece, but he was a douche just the same. Then he recovered nicely with the help of Fox and his buddies.

During the time it was quite outrageous, now it's just a bunch of bs posturing by people slow on the uptake who failed to grasp it at the moment and want to get in on the act.

I'm already over it.

Yeah, he's not a role model. He's a failed WR who became a darn good CB, anything more is just flat out projection and it's not his fault.
