I haven't seen official news that LB has retired. Anyone?

Just saw that Travis Hafner, former Indians DH, has joined the staff at Notre Dame as an assistant volunteer coach. Just hoping there's still a chance for LB to do the same and help boost the Owls offense.

He's still on this list of free agents with no sign of activity (having either been signed or officially retired). Paul Janish is on the list too. I thought Jeff Niemann was a free agent as well, but he's not on this list.

Note that it is Notre Dame College in suburban Cleveland, not the University of Notre Dame.

Despite looking forward to him hopefully joining the Owls at some point, I'm still holding out hope he can re-sign with the Rangers for another season.

As a Rangers fan, I can almost guarantee that's not happening, after the Fielder trade and the Choo signing.

Especially given how done Lance looked for most of last season. Was just kinda sad, really.

I wish the Astros would sign so he could retire as an Astro. He can not be much worse than the Astros use as DH.
