Not a good time for 2 road games against improving teams. Both of which we will be underdogs.

ODU is 3-0, but has faced ECU and F_U. However, they won all three on the road. Next, they get USM and Tulane at home, before having to come to us and MT. We'll see what they're made of then. This conference race will be a marathon...still 7 home games. I think our range now is 10-6 to 12-4. Margin for error is all but gone for an at-large bid at this point, so I'm rooting for chaos.

Both warrennolan.com and rpiforecast.com now project us at 9-7, which would be the 7 seed in either case. Now pressure is on to win this week.

KenPom.com now projects UAB at 8-8.

UAB needs to win at least one game on the road this week, if not both. Tulsa appears to be the tougher of the two.

Pomeroy now has N.TX favored by 1 and Tulsa by 5.

A 2-0 week would erase some of the sting of losing to MT and UTEP. If we could get it to 3-2, we have two easier weeks (relatively speaking) ahead.

Southern Miss leads La Tech by 8 at the half. If the Golden Eagles hold on, that would give us a half-game back toward the conference race.

We have some work to do. No reason to panic at all. Would like to see us win the next four which is doable.

I'm watching the La Tech and Southern Miss game, and both teams play similar to MTSU. If we are going to have a shot in CUSA, we have to play better and faster against these trapping zone defenses.
