People who don't give a fig about real scandals sure do get worked up over fake scandals.

I am no fan of Chris Christie, but this bs isn't going to help the democrats one bit. They are trying to grasp on to anything as they continue their trip around the toilet bowl.

It's all going to come down to whether there's a smoking gun or not. If one turns up, Christie's toast. If not, democrats have invested a lot of political capital here. They're going to give Christie a bully pulpit to demand why things like the IRS scandal and Fast and Furious and Benghazi didn't get the same level of scrutiny with the same vigor.

This seems like an awfully high stakes game on both sides. Both sides have had outs and didn't take them. Kind of strange to be going all in on this.
