Here's the thing about $EC coaches that are "great recruiters", they're recruiting at $EC schools.

Craig makes almost $400,000 at AU, and he doesn't have that much responsibility (other than recruiting).

No, no. Take a crack at Joey. He needs a raise at South and this could really work for him.

Last time I saw Craig in person he was being dumped on his head.

As to Joey Jones, he was at Mountain Brook actively anti-UAB when it came to recruiting. I figure that he's in the RSA and that the same pension rule as applied to Clack hits him too. A larger UAB contract for three years means a substantial raise in his pension. Talking to us might get him offered a raise and contract extention at South.

He's a pretty good coach, but we've got better candidates.

+1. He's good, but no where near my 1st choice. If we truly wanted him though, I don't think it'll be a question of if he'll say yes.
