UTEP
I have a feeling this game comes down to fouls if both teams are shooting and playing their normal game.......of course, if either team shoots 30-33% it could be a rout by the other team. The more UTEP players we get in foul trouble early increases our odds dramatically. UTEP will get a lot of fouls attacking the basket which is why I think UTEP wins. UTEP may not shoot a shot outside of 5 feet. We have to drive the basket constantly in hopes of getting fouls but if that doesn't work, we are in big trouble. The other thing we have to do is get out and run.....we want a high scoring game!!!! Normally when a team is going to beat you on the inside you play a zone......anything to force them to shoot as many shots as possible from the outside....a zone may also save some of our bigs from fouling out too early. I think we are still to young to beat a team that constantly attacks the basket but that's what we are going to see next year in the AAC by the top teams.......better get use to playing a zone now!!!!!
