Born and raised in suburban Washington DC (Wheaton, MD, to be precise). Moved to Athens, OH for grad school in '88 and came to NIU and D-Town (prof in the English Dept.) in '95.

Grew up in the Far North Suburbs (Beach Park/Zion/Winthrop Harbor). Went to College of Lake County (or College of Last Chance as some of us call it) for a year while trying to figure out what to do. Had no better idea so I decided to join a buddy in the Computer Science program. I went to NIU from 96-99. We didn't attend a lot of games then. Well, we tailgated, but... Been a season ticket holder since 2004. I currently live in Kenosha, WI amd make the ~ hour and 45 min trek each game day. Ever since the 2000 season, I have been hooked on NIU football. NIU football has long since overtaken the Detroit Lions as the team I am most passionate about. I go to all the games with seeds99. We hit all the home games and try to hit one away game and then the MACC and sometimes bowl game each season.

I was bred in ole Kentucky, but I'm just a crumb up here.....

My wife and I both grew up in Oak Lawn, attended NIU, majored in Finance and now live in Naperville

Grew up in Round Lake and now live in Mundelein. Finance major who decide on NIU because of McCabes and the Grotto. :)

I was born and grew up in DeKalb. Went to games off and on throughout my childhood. I Remember watching the California Bowl on TV when I was 8. I moved to Bloomington 7 years ago.

I did not attend NIU ...but my eldest son did. He was a meteorology major who played trumpet in the Huskie marching band from '99 to 2005. He stayed at NIU for grad school - 4 yrs.- because he worked full time for the university at the time. He lived in DeKalb a total of 9 years...stayed a year beyond grad school graduation working for NIU housing .
I was not even a football fan prior to his freshman year at NIU but I just got sucked in more & more until becoming the Addict I am today.

I live in Central Illinois right outside of Peoria in a town called Morton. 2 of my sons & I are season ticket holders...drive up to DeKalb for all the home games. My eldest NIU alum son lives in Chicago now. North side. Meets us in Dekalb for most games.

McHenry --> DeKalb --> McHenry --> Jacksonville (a very underrated area I must say)

Grew up in Libertyville, IL. Went to NIU for undergrad and stayed for law school (7 years in Dekalb!). Getting married in 3 weeks so typing this drunk....

Brookfield, Dong Ha, Temple Terrace and now Hernando. You figure out the last three.

I was built by various gods in outer space, then sentenced to a few millennia of serving earth and earth-related causes in exchange for the gifts of incredible power they bestowed upon me. I serve earth from the western suburban area of Chicago.

I was bored and turned on a local sports channel in 2003 and, being a huge fan of underdogs, rooted for whatever the hell an "NIU" was to beat Maryland. I followed NIU that year and ended up matriculating to NIU in 2006 after several successful years at the College of DuPage.

Once at NIU, I started working near the sports teams and accidentally started caring more. Rob Judson gave me 3X-Large T-shirt once. I wear a large, normally. What a guy.

I was born in Racine Wisconsin but moved to Naperville back in '72 when I was still little so basically grew up here. Went to NIU from 85 to 89 with major in Operations Mgmt and Information Systems. I also follow the Bears but the Huskies are the only team I really care about.

I have a perfect record of having been to 9 games in 4 different NFL stadiums without ever being at an NFL game. All of them were NIU games.
