NT's Dan McCarney Get Contract Extension
The UNT board of regents unanimously approved the parameters for a contract extension for Dan McCarney this morning.

There were no details on the deal provided at the regents meeting and UNT has been playing it close to the vest in terms of what the deal will entail.

I was told that the deal should take McCarney through the end of his coaching career. McCarney is 60, has been in the coaching business a long time and has more than enough money to walk away any time he wants to.

With that being said, Mac has more energy than your average fifth grader after a Red Bull. And he keeps himself in great shape.

You're a stand up guy, CalallenStang.04-cheers

Wish I could say the same about Pony94!02-13-banana (I'm just kiddin' P94...only kiddin')!

Saw some of your BB game on ESPNU last night. Nice improvements to Moody. Aging myself again, but I once took a girl friend to Moody to see the Carpenters (as in Richard & Karen) back in the day.

I graduated from High School at Moody. Plano East used to have their graduation ceremonies at Moody.

Come to a game one of these days. Great place to play.

I went to see your team play in the HOD bowl. I was very impressed with the team and UNT fans were a great group of people and were impressive in their vocal support throughout the game.

Aging yourself? I attended a Beach Boys concert at Moody in 1965 as a Frosh at UNT!

I can just barely remember when she was alive. So sad the way it ended for her.

They played a show at the White House when Nixon was president. In his memoirs he said they played "rock" music. 03-weeping

I saw my first concert at Moody. It was Iron Maiden and Humble Pie warming up for Judas Priest. Humble Pie for some reason could not perform.

Fans were throwing trash in the isles and setting it on fire.

I don't recall any heavy metal acts playing Moody after that.

Float like a butterfly-sting like a Bee Hive?

Family's been in Texas since 1833 and I can honestly say I have never been to Bee Hive, Texas. Of course, most of you have probably never been to my home town of Danbury, Texas (SW of Houston in Brazoria County).

Simply amazing...

Did you ever go to Fillips Cafe over in Danbury and go fishing at the Lakes of Danbury?

I've been to seafood restaurants in San Francisco and Honolulu, but I never ate better fried shrimp than what I got at Fillips Cafe in Danbury. It was bought out and became EJ's Cafe which was located over by St. Anthony's Catholic Church.

Was a tri-captain on the 19XX 03-lmfao Danbury Panther football team. Dad worked at Dow Chemical for almost 40 years and we teens used to go the the "Lake Theatre" over in Lake Jackson for our cinematic pleasures.

My mother passed away in the Lake Jackson hospital which was actually the same place where the late Selena was born. She did grow up in Corpus Christi, though.

How long did you live in Lake Jackson, Pony94?

Born in Freeport and lived in LJ until I was 15. Still have family there and Selina was in my class.
