Blaney, Davis & Kinser Tabbed For HoF

KNOXVILLE, Iowa — Three World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series champions headline this year’s class of inductees to the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame announced Tuesday night during the Chili Bowl Nationals.
Bobby Davis Jr. (1989), Dave Blaney (1995) and Mark Kinser (1996, 1999) were all elected in their first year of eligibility.
The 25th annual induction ceremony will be held May 31 in Knoxville, Iowa.
Also elected by the voting panel in the Owners-Mechanics-Builders-Manufacturers-Car
Sponsors category were Chuck Merrill and George Nesler.
Longtime National Speed Sport News and Sprint Car & Midget Magazine columnist Dave Argabright and longtime track announcer William “Windy” McDonald were elected in the Promoters-Officials-Media Members-Event/Series Sponsors category.
Larry Beckett earned election in the Pre-1945 class.
“We are very proud of the work done by our 72-member National Induction Committee each and every year, and this year is no exception,” said National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum Foundation executive director Bob Baker. “I think modern sprint car fans will be very pleased with this year’s line-up of inductees. We look forward to our very special twenty-fifth induction banquet on the Marion County Fairgrounds in Knoxville, Iowa, May 31.”
