55 isn't "almost 60" unless you are 12.
And he's 7 years younger than little Nicky Saban.

RE: Golden Ticket #2 goes to John Neal
Not sue of his exact age, but one internet source said it is 57yrs 1 month (I was thinking he was 55 or 56). Regardless, he is a very young 57. Lots of energy, excitement and connects with players. He may only want to coach 5-7 more years. If we could get a coach to right the ship, stay committed for 5+ years, and leave us in a better position for the next coach, I think we would all be happy.
Maybe that guy is Neal. Maybe Gran. Maybe Clark. Maybe someone else. Regardless, I am getting excited about seeing who it will be.

Bobby Humphrey has coached arena ball.
He also has a 5 star son being recruited.

It may not be publicly known until after a coach has been hired.
I suspect the same boosters pulling the strings last time are pulling the strings this time.
Last time they wanted McGee. I suspect they want a big name this time.
Hopefully they will think this through a little.
I would want Roberts interviewed for starters, certainly Clark as well. There may be another one or two including Houston Nutt and possibly someone coaching already within the state.

Especially if it's a current HC.

Yep. Coaches are careful to not burn any bridges.

Not sure why there is so much love for Roberts. i'll admit i don't know much about him but i would be worried about hiring a coach whose team we beat 52-3

Look at the record he has against "like" opponents.

I wouldn't. it's apples and oranges. You don't get the kind of football players even an FBS lightweight like UAB gets at SELA.

They might have beaten us 52-3 this year.

i know they had some good players (QB transferred from Ole Miss, seems like a WR was from a D1 school) but probably weaker across the oline and dline
