Most definitely. I listen to them after word got out about McGee leaving and Paul was actually saying he did UAB a favor. I listen to a little of Scott and Matt show last night for some scuttlebutt conversation. But you couldn't pay me to listen to the Morning Drive.

I find him to be pretty informed and unbiased(minus some Alabama stuff) most of the time. He generally won't talk about a subject unless he has done some research on it. What's sad is his show would be really solid if he just got rid of the idiots calling in all the time. I may not always like or agree with what he says, but I feel like he truly means what he says and isn't just making stuff up to stir the pot.

The "flat piece of land" quote is getting old. We all know it takes more than that and that was simply coach speak. Anyone who took that seriously knows nothing of sports?

And have you ever started a project, figured what you needed, but once you got into the project realized that you missed the mark and you needed more materials.

Now I am curious. By Pondscum do you mean Finebaum and if so what did he say about McGee and UAB? I figured if he even mentioned UAB he would just pile it on.

Matt and Scott aren't terrible. I've noticed that they don't tolerate a lot of the Finebaum/Opening Drive regular callers. I also agree that I could probably listen to Finebaum if it weren't for the callers. It's fun at first in a Jerry Springer kind of way, but it gets real old, real fast. The interviews tend to be pretty interesting, since he can field big names, and he does have a strong background in sports journalism.

It's really the morning crew that actually takes the time to be actively negative about UAB.

I don't see how the gumps even put up with Barker.
