CatsClaw Wrote:Kenyon#4 Wrote:Juco's were a lot better back when Huggins did it, prep schools didn't exist back then. All of the good players that went to Juco's back then now attend prep schools for 1 year and reclassify.
The quality of Juco players has gone way down over the years.
The flip side of that is that schools rarely keep freshmen for 4 years, or 3 years if they're really good, so having high school players don't necessarily = championships either.
Wow! theres no limit to how far you will stretch BS to back UC. Sometimes you have to just accept that the world don't revolve around the bearcats. and hoping, wishing, and saying "you never know" won't change that.
I mean geez, You have to go back to UNLV to find a national champion with a JUCO anchor. And even then LJ was a top high school prospect. Most of todays Juco's you never heard of before. I doubt UNC or Syracuse is wishing they never signed williams or anthony because they only played 1 year lmfao .
The best you can hope for in JC is finding a late bloomer.
Bottom line is high school players do indeed = National champion

been to any high school football practices lately? who do you like in the GCL this year.
Yeah I've been to a number of passing camps and a few practices so far. I think the GCL is wide open this year. Any of the 4 teams could win the league. The favorite for the state title should be Lakewood St Edward, but they have choked before (like last year in the state semi's)...
