What about Lorenzo Constantini and/or Tyson Summers.... Both defensive guys, proved they can play in the big leagues at UCF. Finished the season with a BCS victory. Check the intensity. [Image: 1560374_10153721402310397_537639832_n.jpg]

Tommy Bowden. He comes home, gets a fresh start with only one way to go (up) and we get Bobby's connections/influence/friends with money. Tommy''s a good coach, was a winner at our level , and coschrd at both UA and AU so he knows and has recruited the area.

Lashlee, but he'll be a bcs coach in 3 years or less so probably wouldn't happen.

A lot of bigger schools have tried to higher him, without success. It is pretty obvious that he isn't interested in coaching. If he was interested in coaching, he is smart enough not to attempt his return at UAB

Wasn't Peterson going to join Terry Bowden? Not that it means anything but there is a connection there. Timing isn't great since Bowden is employed elsewhere but I actually would not have a problem with Bowden.

Not really germane, but what makes that story special is that, generally, David gets his little ass kicked.

Sullivan would sprain a rib laughing, then tell UAB to go pee up a rope.

His health is not good. And yeah, I've bumped into him on occasion and have to suppress the urge to apologize to him.

Hell, if I bump into him, I *will* apologize to him, and I had nothing to do with it.

Who was the coach at UCF or something that got canned and Alabama hired as a position coach? He had a winning record and everyone was shocked when he was let go. Didn't he also have UAB ties?

You should always apologize when you bump into someone. Just good manners

Given the status of our football program, Hopefully there's at least one -- just one -- potentially decent coach who has UAB in his pocket.

Mario Cristobal, and none that I remember.

Cristobal at FIU. He had some APR and behavior issues with his teams.

Thanks, Smaug. That's who I was thinking of. UAB ties or not, he would be a good candidate I think.
