Man, that is bad news about Porter. The flu takes a while to get over too. I would think he would be out at least a couple games and maybe be weak for a bit longer. This UTSA game just got a whole lot tougher. Thanks for the update, hope he gets well soon.

The only good news is that we can start small against UTSA. They are not very big, but that means Brandan has to stay out of foul trouble.

Diabetics are usually more prone to catching illnesses like the flu.

Thanks for the report 4Life, bad news and all. This is not good and I don't want to have to play small, be better if they have to worry about Porter imo. Also, don't be surprised if we dont hear about someone else getting the flu. What bad luck.

I hope not. Often a healthy body can fight these viruses off before it sets in. It is not always the case, but it would be less likely to spread far in a team of D1 athletes than in, say, an elementary school. Not surprised JJ got it and as someone mentioned the diabetes makes Porter more suseptible.

We lucked out here so far. We are living in a hotel room as a family of 5 as our house is getting worked on. My 2 year old daughter got the flu or something else flu-like 2 weeks ago and none of the rest of us got it. Though for sure we'd all get it in such close quarters. She and my wife are the only ones that got the vaccine. Fingers crossed.

Say, 4Life, you said underclassmen were there today. Was Hueitt in attendance? Any further report?

I can't directly answer that in regards to the breakfast but Ed tweeted last night that he was still sick and did not practice yesterday.
