What if, since it's a new year
we look at the glass half full for a change, instead of half empty. What do we have to be thankful for in our basketball program. First a coach who doesn't ride motorcycles. Players who graduate and, at least so far, don't make the news on the police report page, a beautiful arena, a nice conference, and a competitive program, if not an outstanding one, at least against comparable competition.

As far as attendance I'd like to see more fans in the seats, but I attend because I enjoy being part of the program and watching the games. If others choose not to attend, that's their problem. I can't control what others choose to do with their entertainment dollar or time. So if I see ghosts on the other side of the arena, so be it. I don't get paid to keep the program afloat financially. Chris does. And I'm sure he knows a heck of a lot more than I do about it, so I'll let him worry about it. At my age, I'm only concerned with staying healthy and alive. I don't need additional worries.
Anyway, I'm trying to see the glass half full instead of half empty. It makes for a happier life.04-cheers

A lot to enjoy about this program. Some things need to approve, but a lot is right.

When you accept mediocrity, that's all they'll feed you. Some of us have decided to protest what they're feeding us, but protesting vocally and some with their pocket books. I have done my part vocally, and next year will protest by not buying tickets. There is no reason to give you and the few others here that support this joke of a basketball program, anything better, because they know you'll support whatever they give you. As long as enough of you buy tickets, they won't have to hire a better coach and pay him more. Enjoy.

What's the old serenity prayer. "Lord give me the power to change what I can change, accept what I can't, and have the wisdom to know the difference between the two". Amen04-cheers

You can change anything if you have enough people that care.

Great post. This program is one of the reasons I love living in Little Rock. Not sure what I would do with my free time without. I used to get sick about our attendance, but I think I have finally come to realize there's nothing I can do about it. Once students are back, we may not have huge crowds, but it will be a good college atmosphere in one of the nicest arena's in the country. Can't ask for much more than that.
