RE: Another Bowl for the Sun Belt?
The conference needs at least three bowl tie in, preferably 4
Also preferably within the conference footprint so that fans can attend

An empty bowl stadium is very depressing

If there are too many bowls then people don't have to watch. But the fact is a number of bowl-eligible SBC teams sat home this year. As long as that is true the SBC needs more bowls. 3 guaranteed ones next year is better than 2, but the SBC needs at least 4 guaranteed bowls.

The Little Ceasars Pizza (Motor City) Bowl maintains they aren't finished, despite the presence of a new (ACC v B1G) Bowl game in Detroit beginning next December.

That one would still be in play for the Sun Belt --- it will likely need to move to another city (Little Rock?) to be viable, because I don't think Detroit can support two different Bowl games.

Would be better for everyone if you need 7 fbs wins to be bowl eligible

They need to move the Detroit Bowl to Texas. Id either do a second game in San Antonio, a second game in Houston (in the new UH stadium) , or I'd put it in Bobcat stadium (right size, within 20 minutes of Austin and 45 minutes of San Antonio).

It will come, up until a couple years ago...the sunbelt usually only had 2 teams with winning seasons. This conference is still only 12 years old in football.

You think 30k is the right size for a bowl game? If we were to entertain hosting a bowl, I'd think we need to have at least 45k, particularly if it is designed to be a TX team vs. a TX team.

We would then have an excuse to finish out the stadium to 45k. That won't happen anytime soon. Another level of suites is the next thing to happen on Bobcat Stadium. Little Caesars bowl should move to TX though.

They won't be adding suites without adding GA seats. No real way to do that otherwise.

How about a bowl in Indianapolis. Got a dome, in the middle of MAC country, even if it were a MAC-B1G game, still would be a perfect spot for a game.

Yes, another level of suites goes on top of the existing ones right now on the west side.

RE: Another Bowl for the Sun Belt?
After seeing 3 years of horrible MAC crowds at the GoDaddy, I hope we can get a LR bowl with another conference tie in. No way does that conference deserve 5 bowls. Maybe Sun Belt vs. AAC. Probably would be too big for SBC but never understood why St. Louis didn't get a bowl. Will SBC ever be opposite one of the bigger conferences? Afraid the SEC, Big 10, etc. Don't see an upside to playing us in a bowl.

Your bowl in Montgomery holds 25K. Most of the regional Texas G5 schools draw about 20-25K a game at home. A 30K stadium virtually guarantees a full house sell-out atmosphere. The last thing you want is big empty palace like Reliant for a modest sized crowd. Bobcat stadium would be a good place to move the LCPB. If it outgrows the stadium it can be moved to the Alamo Dome in a few years.

Truth. You want to have the need to move it to a bigger venue, not the need to move it to a smaller one.
