UConn fans are using it

So, they lose to two former middling CUSA teams, yet brag about how much better they would've done in the tougher old BE?

I think they are saying that they don't have a chance at a lot of marquee wins outside of the big 4. SMU is a bottom feeder to them at the moment

Memphis managed to remain relevant in CUSA for 10 years. Why can't UConn? Lame.

So basically they are saying that the Big East schools can't hang with the old CUSA schools. I get it.

Actually, they're using the Florida football excuse when they lost to Louisville in the Sugar Bowl last year.

Florida wasn't interested in beating Louisville, so they lost.

UConn isn't interested in playing in this crappy conference, so they lose to teams they shouldn't lose to.

how can you expect them to win when second tier announcers are calling the games?
