Sad days.

He was ran over by 2 different cars on the HWY.

He was already dead before they hit him.... It's shady

Yeah, it sounds shady... but I was unclear, because I'm also looking at the end of that article:

"On Wednesday, Taylor Driggers, a Troy signee from February of 2013, was charged with manslaughter in connection with a shooting death of a Troy student.

Driggers was charged in Crensaw County, Ala. following the death of 18-year-old Kristin Fuller. Per the Eagle, Troy said that Driggers was expected to join the football team this semester or in the summer.

In December, Trojans walk-on Dimitri Miles was charged with murder in the death of Troy resident Marquise McClendon."

I'm not trolling so much as wincing. If we had that happen we'd be crucified in the comment section of Al.com and on WJOX.

Several years ago I think we had a commitment who was charged with murder.

We used to be somewhat comfortable saying that the "marginal" D1 programs just have to take greater chances to get competitive players. Lately though, we have seen felonious behavior at even the major (BCS) schools (with Bama just recently readmitting a player implicated in a robbery) and some with killings. Being a big time football player at a big time program seems not to be enough prestige / reward for some few of these guys.

Of course not. The rules are different the minute someone notices you have a special talent.

I assume by recently, you mean the last 50 years or so. Because felonious behavior by athletes at big time schools have been going on awhile.

As they should be.

Nothing wrong with the "Good ole boy" network, especially if you benefit from it.

Based on previous posts, I would say it's not. But I also suspect some of it is an act too.
