Let's wait and see if we can win at MTSU before we start declaring ourselves the team to beat.

Right now, Pomeroy has the MTSU game as a real toss up, with MTSU winning 69-68.
RealTimeRPI.com has MTSU winning 81-74.
Massey Ratings has it as a 50-50 game, with MTSU winning 70-69.
A win at MTSU, to start conference play, would be huge.

Yes it would. They have a big home winning streak if I'm not mistaken. Even as inconsistent as they've been, they'll still probably be an upper half C-USA team.

They just lost to the Maine black bears at home. They were ranked like 340 in the rpi and were 1-9 I believe.

We could easily lose at MTSU but I think we're still the best team in cusa

I forgot about that. I actually believe the Maine game was not technically at home for MTSU, but I forgot the did lose to Belmont there. I believe their home win streak was up around 30 before that though.
Either way, if we don't find a way to shoot better than 40% most nights, I don't think we're the team to beat in CUSA.

This may sound like a cop out, but I honestly think the weakness ofnournschedulencould be playing a part in some of our shooting woes. We've had at least 4-5 games on our schedule where it was obvious to everyone with eyes that we could play about 50% of our best and still win by about 10 points. I know we obviously haven't shot lights out in our other games either, but I definitely think we've played down to our competition a lot this year.

This is our worst team in decades and before the Rutgers game, we lost our starting SF for the season with a torn meniscus.

I just knew all wasn't well at Temple. I suspected an injury, but never checked it out.

We have no depth. We have a transfer from Texas sitting out the year. We had 9 scholarship players going into the season, one of whom was supposed to play D-II basketball until our idiot coach offered him a scholarship. With Dingle out for the year our roster is:
8 scholarship players
2 true freshmen
2 sophomores
2 juniors
1 senior
1 scholarship junior who is the talent equivalent to a walk on
1 actual walk on
It's an absolute travesty and embarrassment.
