a work of art!! Yes the 2nd baseman looks short, I think he is like 5 ft 8 but he can hit and play defense too.

this will kind of give you an idea where I sat. Nice seats.

what more can you say, one of the best Bulldogs ever.

kind of a sparse crowd but not bad considering it was spring break. These are the luxury boxes, notice the banner there, it says Congrats Raffy-500

does that not want to make you wish we could still play baseball? That grass is actually that green.

Ron Polk trying to explain to blue there how to determine a foul ball to no avail.

2 Diamond Girls getting this kid to sing Take Me Out to The Ball Game @ the 7th inning stretch.

Trojan Pow-wow. Needless to say on this day it did not happen that often.

I was not really wearing enough Maroon and White. :D At least my friend could have told me my hat was crooked. Doh!

Look how green that turf is at Scott Field.

Those are awesome pics, bro. I have 3 questions for you, though. 1) That is a cool tribute to Raffy, he's one of my favorite players of all time, even tho he is a Bulldog 03-lol , but those tributes to those players, does that mean that their numbers are retired? If not, they sure should retire Raffy's, along with "The Thrill" and Brantley.
2) What is that thing in the middle of the football field? It kinda looks like a stick figure of a dog, but I'm sure it's not, what is that? (By the way, that is awesome that you had Scott Field to yourself, I got to do that with Vaught once or twice, it was a religous experience for me),
and 3) Did you forget to pack your razor for this trip? 03-lol

j/k bro, looks like you had a great time! 04-cheers Thanks for sharing those pics. 04-bow Dudy-Noble is awesome.

answers..:D

1. Actually I have another pic to post that has Brantley and Clark on it, their names are on the left side of the centerfield fence. I am not sure if it means their numbers are retired though, our current first baseman has the same number Clark had, 23.

2. You noticed that huh? We think it was a deer made out of mufflers. 03-lol My friend and I laughed at that for sure. I originally thought it was a chair until I got closer to it. Funny stuff.

3. No, my razor was in the bag but my wife was not there to nag me to shave, thus I didn't. 03-lol :D

I did indeed have a great time, I really need to get over there more often for games.

Great pics. Looks like a great trip. It's kinda cool being the only one in the stadium - when i was in school, the stadium was under construction my last 2 years there so it was always open during the day and i had to pass it on the way to any of my classes - a couple of times, a couple of friends and i went out there and started chucking the football around until we got run off each time - but at least i can say i caught one in the endzone of Bryant-Denny.

I'll have some pics to post next week myself from the A-Day game. I can't wait to use the new high-res camera at a football game.

Oh yeah 10Man, I was talking to my dad last night and you and he have something in common after all, you both hate that school in Louisiana. 03-lol I was actually quite surprised when I mentioned to him that I was actually cheering for the Rebels in football last year, he said he was too, told me might as wish at least one team in Mississippi to do good if we ain't.. 03-lol He told me to tell you the part about that school in Louisiana, said he can't stand them either. :D

thanks man, yeah it was fun. The series could have turned out better but I ain't complaining, USC is a hell of a baseball team, always have been. I was a bit apprehensive about going in to the stadium but my friend is a youth minister at the Baptist church in Aberdeen, man he pretty much knows everyone who is anyone behind the scenes of MSU athletics plus the fact he is a minister has a lot of clout in that part of Mississippi for sure, a lot of respect for him, plus the fact he is a sincerely nice guy so I was not too worried after he walked on the field first. LOL

Looking forward to the pics man.

Jay, you guys have your Spring game already next week? Ours isn't until mid-April, the 17th to be exact I think. Are we late or are you guys early or what? I thought most of the teams had theirs in and around the same time, give or take.

At any rate, I look forward to your pics, as well, and will return the favor after the Grove Bowl.

It is too early and i have no idea why. At least the weather is supposed to be just about perfect - it was cold rainy and miserable last year.

I just read on a David Cutcliffe press release that our Spring game was later than normal this season for whatever reason, so I guess we are the late ones. But you guys seem to be having yours a tad early as well.....oh well, gotta have 'em sometime. I don't guess it really matters when teams have them, maybe Shula is excited and ready to get going.

Same weekend as ours, 64, except that we have the Vols in town that weekend....oh yea, I'm hitting all events that weekend. :D

That reminds me, I don't normally watch but I happened to catch the local Jackson newscast last night, or was it the night before? Anyway, the sports guy was interviewing MSU Coach Polk. He asked Polk if this past weekend series with South Carolina was a good warm-up for the Buldogs in SEC play. :stupid: :stupid: :stupid: :stupid:
You see what kind of dumb******es the local Jackson natives have to put up with? Unbelievable! Of course, everyone is allowed mistakes, I'm aware of that hell I make my fair share, but I quit watching the news here long ago because these types of mistakes are commonplace. The guy was at the friggin' game and couldn't get the name of the team that State was playing right. :stupid: :stupid:

I'm so glad I'm almost "officially" outta here. 3 more days.
