This team has so many weapons that no matter what style our opponent plays we can adapt. We just outplay and outlast teams. The deep bench is a problem for most of our opponents. And we are quick. Wow fun to watch. Feels like old time Memphis Tiger basketball.

If we start hitting 3's like we did tonight we will be a nightmare to guard. We finally have multiple threats inside, something we haven't had in the Pastner era.

I'm with Stammers, depending on our draw in the tournament, Sweet 16 to maybe even Final Four.

Interesting. When some here predicted in the preseason that they saw the tigers as losing no more than 5 games they were called on the carpet as being unrealistic. My hoiw things have changed

I don't know if we can beat any other team but I really feel that there is no team we can't hang with and have a good shot at beating. This is the first time I have felt this way about our team with Pastner as coach.

Preseason, there were 4 unknowns...

1. Would Shaq's improved conditioning translate to better results on the court? - YES

2. Was Pellom going to be a solid contributor? - YES

3. Were some of the kids going to be able to come in and make solid contributions right away? - YES

4. Was Joe Jackson going to be able to raise his game to elite level? - YES

I expect a Sweet Sixteen, but after that who knows?

The right draw and a couple of lucky shots and they could win it all. They may not be the best in the country on paper, but they may be the best group of young men in the country. There's passion and enjoyment every time they take the floor. Those are characteristics of champions.

We had our foots on USF's throats tonight...and when we went ahead by 29....we took our feet off of the gas.
The game of course could have been reffed a little bit better...I'm just happy with the win.
Not much has changed really.
USF was in the BE. They had access to more revenue than we were getting...they could have parlayed those advantages into better recruiting, facilities, coaches....but they didn't. Talent wise in basketball, they are no better than what we left behind in CUSA.
The AAC will be a tougher league than CUSA because we have Temple, UConn(ed), and Cincy to push us every year.
In CUSA it was USM...and a bunch of also rans.

My prediction?
We have Final Four talent...the question is can we play our way to get there.
I think we make it to at LEAST the Sweet 16....with a good chance for the Elite 8.
It all depends on our tourney seeding. If we get a 3 or better....Elite 8.
5 or 6.....Sweet 16.

I say the three point shooting becomes more consistent and we march to the Final Four possible National Championship. I haven;t seen a team yet that could take us on a neutral court when we are playing well.

So many variables in the tournament, but this team has final four potential in my opinion. Lots of basketball left.

College basketball is about guard play and we got the guards to get to a Final Four and enough of them to offset 1 or maybe 2 not playing well. When all 4 guards are clicking I think hardly any team out there can beat this team. We also got just enough of a good frontcourt out there where the opposing team will take us seriously enough down low which in turns helps the guards

Sweet 16... I bet refs go back to old ways of calling games...we get out muscled ...bigger guards hurt us...In the Ncaa's we live or die with the 3 point shot. 6' 5" or better sf hurts us think Fla. game. Go Tigers Go

Somewhere between NC and Round of 64....odds leaning closer towards the NC side of the spectrum.

Final Four....at least.

My feelings exactly.

I can't speak to the team's confidence level--although they are playing with plenty of it--but for myself as a fan all of the underlying, nagging little doubts along the lines of "are we for real this year?" have gone away.
