Overshadowed by the bungled debut of Obamacare and congressional gridlock, most Americans in a new poll dubbed 2013 a bad year that will be quickly forgotten. For more than four-in-10, the perils of 2013 hit home hard.

“Put simply, most Americans are happy to see 2013 go,” said the latest Economist/YouGov Poll.

— 54 percent called 2013 a “bad year” for the world. Another 15 percent called it a “very bad year,” with just 3 percent calling it a “very good year” and 29 percent a “good year.”

— Only 13 percent of Republicans say 2013 has been a good year for the world.

— 41 percent called 2013 a bad or very bad year for their families.

It was a bad year.

It was a stellar year for my investments...but...a horrible year for my pocketbook.

Interesting to see Senator Manchin of West Virginia in that photo. I bet he wishes he could have that one back.

So-so year for me (except moving to Vegas) and a horrible year for the country. How many scandals and exhibitions of presidential weakness did we see this year?

The last 3 years have been great for me and my family.

I feel bad for all those people who had a bad year. Once again, I had the best year of my life.

The 32% who had a good year are Baby Boomers who got some of their stock portfolio's back at the rest of the country's expense in inflation created by The Fed by buying bonds and stocks.

Think about this - the major politicians of today have been around since Nixon, over 30 years. They are Baby Boomers. They are crapping on everyone under 60 years old to make their buddies happy. Every single one of us needs to wake up.

My thoughts go to the families of Obama and Hillary's dead Americans, where there are still no answers and no one has been brought to justice. Those families had a very bad 2013.
