RE: What if UAB...............
That is correct. I just was trying to be nice. He was in the Mobile Press talking about how he did not want UAB. He took an Otho to promote the University System not just the university in Tuscaloosa. At that time the Alabama program was in bad shape and some fans were afraid Alabama could lose a recruit. Del champ was going to protect the Bama program. It really does not matter at this time. We cannot worry about things we cannot control. We will be fine. It's funny a lot of Bama fans realize what is going on. We have more fans than you think. Things are not as bad as some think. The people know and really appreciate the season ticket holder. I was told it's not easy being a UAB football fan but we will be fine.

It would not have been as serious a problem if Delchamp was acting alone. This attitude is what B'ham has been up against statewide and UAB is up against because it is in B'ham and under the continuing control of the system BOT which always sees Crimson as its dominant color. Delchamp was doing what the BOT has consistently done in hobbling the athletic development of UAB as a protection of the one that ALWAYS comes first.

I remember that. He was the most vocal. It's true. That did happen. The current news media has short memories when it comers to things like that. They also forget what David Palmer did to our backup quarterback while intoxicated. That story has vanished from the Birmingham News archives.

Most of the media's memory gets cloudy when they have their heads stuck up certain program's tails.
