Buffalo Brand
At first I was going to tag this on to an existing thread on this forum as a random question, but there isn't much going on here.
Anyway, I was reviewing the MAC attendance stats and noticed Buffalo had done pretty well over the past few years, right there in line with the rest of the conference. Then a huge jump in 2013.
Now I don't know what attendance was before 2009, but seeing as how the team hasn't had a history of winning, could it be that the marketing campaign the university started a few years back to brand itself as the state of New York school helped attendance (also enrollment, exposure, recruiting, etc)?
Cool idea the university had.
Thanks.

I don't think the branding had a lot to do with the attendance boost this year. But I think the effort behind the branding and it's offshoots (the concerts, the east club, stampede square, ...) were a big part of it..
Next year UB will reportedly have seven home games.
