MSU had good baseball teams in the SEC long before SEC baseball was cool. I'll give you that, for sure.

All in all, I'd rather have the 5 NC's from 1991, though. And, the question was about teams having a dynasty. That doesn't mean that a school has been good from the get-go. Look at the Celtics; they had the greatest dynasty in the history of the NBA, but they haven't done much lately.

MSU has almost always had a good baseball program. But, you have to win championships in order to qualify as a dynasty.
you are absolutely correct. Keep in mind though my original post on this thread was not a slap in the face to LSU but again the line said greatest baseball dynasty EVER, meaning of all time, not just the past few years or since the 90's. Yes USC baseball has not had a championship in awhile but if we use greatest EVER, then the presumption would mean of all time, hence that belongs to USC. Hell I would also love those 5 NC's ain't nothing wrong with that at all, I was just trying to clarify that the statement was incorrect. Again if you are talking SEC only, I agree with you there.

Agreed on most every point. But just for the record, I'm not the poster who claimed that LSU had the greatest dynasty ever. That was another guy. I'll put LSU's run at #2, though, because baseball is a much bigger deal now than it used to be. heck, the SEC is loaded this year. Look at South Carolina - they go 18-0 preseason, and start out 2-4 in the league. They're real good, but it just goes to show that every weekend in the SEC is gonna be a war in '04.

you are correct sir, I do apologize. I remember now, I actually enjoyed the banter with you, I think we actually talked sports if I am not mistaken, which is rare thing on a sports message board now days. :D I agree with your assessment of them being 2, but I will tell you what. They are 1 in SEC for NC's, and IMO, probably the best team in the past 10-15 years in the SEC, if not the country. I mean we have been consistent but 5 NC's is nice. 04-bow
