OT: Jonathan Grimes RB
My beloved Houston Texan placed Ben Tate on IR today. In a corresponding move they have signed RB Jonathan Grimes, former Bill Mary standout, to serve as the #3 RB for the remainder of the season.

Dennis Johnson will likely start the Texans' last two games, with Deji Karim and Jonathan Grimes backing him up.

FWIW, this is JG's third stint with the Texans.

Grimes was a good RB for the Griffins that's for sure!

At half, Grimes leads #Texans in both rushing and receiving yards. 10 carries for 34 and a TD rushing, 4 catches for 35 yds receiving.

His first career TD here:

Rookie RB Johnathan Grimes scored his first NFL TD and led in both receiving (50) and rushing yards (76).

Good for Griimes, he was (is) a stand up guy at W&M. By brother-in-law blocked for him for 3 years as his fullback in W&M's I-formation offense. He also thought Grimes was good enough for the NFL. It's good to see CAA alums in the big leagues, I just wish there were more JMU Dukes!

Seems like there is a very good chance that Jonathan Grimes will be the Texan's back up RB this year.

That would make two FCS RB's on the team. Karim played for SIU. Grimes way outgained Karim when WM & SIU played in Dec. 2009.

Good deal, always pull for the underdog unless they are playing against my team. Though, it sure seems like my team, or my chosen player, is the underdog a lot.
