What voter fraud?
I thought this didn't exist.

Quote:Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted announced Wednesday that his office found 17 non-citizens illegally cast ballots in the 2012 presidential election -- and has referred the case for possible prosecution.

The alleged crime would be a notable case of voter fraud in a key swing state. By law, only American citizens are allowed the privilege of casting ballots for the nation's leaders.

Ohio officials say that did not stop some from getting around the system.

"I have a responsibility to uphold election law, and under both federal and state law you must be a citizen to vote," said Husted, a Republican who has aggressively tried to investigate voter fraud cases in his state.

Husted also found that 274 non-citizens remain on the voting rolls.

Well, it certainly isn't widespread based on his findings. I am all for having an ID to vote. No ID, no vote.

Of course that's in addition to the other fraud mentioned in the story

Quote:including that of one poll worker who was accused of voting six times in the November presidential election.

Melowese Richardson, 58, is serving five years in prison after being convicted of four counts of voter fraud. Prosecutors said she repeatedly had voted in the name of her sister, who has been in a coma since 2003, and that the illegal votes Richardson cast were counted in both the 2008 and 2012 presidential elections.

Cincinnati nun also pleaded guilty to illegal voting as part of the ongoing voter fraud investigation

So, if illegals are voting 6x each, then it may start to add up. And if not in the presidential election, it may be significant in local elections.

I am glad she got caught and put in jail. Let it be an example to anyone else who works the polls and tries to vote for others illegally.

I just don't think that it is overall widespread... but I do think that you should have to have an ID to vote. By law you have to have an ID anyway...

Illegal voting "No Big Deal" her daughter says.
Well that settles it.

Makes you wonder how many thousands there really are.

RE: What voter fraud?
If the left thinks it's possible to get every man, woman, and child health insurance then they should think it's possible for all of them to get voter ID cards. So why won't they?

What ID verifies citizenship? In Kalifornia (and elsewhere), illegals are encouraged to register to vote. They are already breaking the law so scofflaw time and time again has no consequences. Even though the integrity of our basic right to vote is being diluted, dems declare "What voter fraud", knowing full well it is near impossible to enforce and harder to prosecute.

RE: What voter fraud?
Ben Stein nailed this one...

Quotes from Ben Stein:

"Fathom the hypocrisy of a Government that requires every citizen to prove they are insured…. but not everyone must prove they are a citizen."

And...

"And now, any of those who refuse, or are unable, to prove they are citizens will receive free insurance paid for by those who are forced to buy insurance because they are citizens."
