So this past August, I had a girl (who we'll call M in this story) stay over from August 3 through August 10. She is the friend of one of my roommate's friends who needed a place to stay for 7 days; long story short, M was an intern this summer in DC whose internship ended August 2 but had a flight booked for LA on August 10 (though eventually going back to Puerto Rico where she's from) so she needed a place to crash at in the DC metro area but couldn't stay anywhere else - not even her friend's place or a hotel for some reason - and me being a nice guy, I agreed with my roommate to host her and let her sleep on our couch (though he sent me a picture of her first so that I can get an idea of how she looks like lol).

For the most part, she worked out fine. She bought and cooked her own food (she was a "super healthy" eater according to her) and only used the guest bathroom (which is occupied by my roommate mostly since I use the master bathroom due to the fact that I occupy the master bedroom) and enjoyed using our apartment's gym. Now on Wednesday, my roommate and I came back home pretty late and she was already there. My roommate needed to check his bathroom's toilet because M had texted him about the toilet being clogged. What she didn't tell him initially in that text was how it was that it got clogged in the first place. Well, when him and I went in there to check it out, it turns out that it got clogged because Mimi tried to flush a used tampon in there. That's right, I said used lol. So my roommate had the unfortunate luck of unclogging it starting with his plunger with the water in the toilet bowl being all red, and to make it a more unpleasant experience, he had to reach in with his hands to get the tampon out (though he wore a rubber glove for that). Needless to say, he was pretty upset about it (though he tried his best to not show it to M) and M was pretty embarrassed by the situation (though I tried my best to make her feel better by attempting to calm her down).

So yes, me and my roommate don't understand how a girl that is mature for her age - though 20 years old (now 21) - and very intelligent would do such a thing. We're guys but I'm pretty sure that most girls would just wrap it in toilet paper and dump that in a trash can. Furthermore, my roommate specifically told her in the beginning that she should not flush any toilet paper because of clogging issues so what makes her think that a tampon would flush seamlessly?!

Now according to my roommate yesterday, this girl did it again the following day but fortunately M didn't try to flush the thing down so his toilet didn't get clogged this time around (though he had to get it out again with his hands). Still though, you'd think that she would have learned a lesson the first time around so what makes her think that things would be different the second time around.

So yeah, this is what happened a few months ago. Hopefully you guys out there don't ever have to experience something like this lol.

I'm gonna make a wild guess and say "M" in your story, her real name is Mimi.

Maybe you need to invest in a toilet that will gulp down golf balls like in the commercial.

I honestly think we jumped the shark with the carrot years ago. And now (OT) is relegated to just walking dead or breaking bad threads. Anybody with a sister has a tampon story.
