Decided to blame it on the refs
Some bad calls in a very close game. I've decided that we actually are (slightly) better than Florida. F em. I want a rematch in March. Onwards and upwards.

Some questionable calls. That tech rule on Shaq needs to be fixed.

To be fair too...that foul Shaq got toward the end was all ball too...but the strip was criminal.

I've decided not to blame it on the refs. Much Kudos to FL Gators. They surely earned their W. It wasn't prescribed by the zebras. Memphis lost a great game.

Onwards and upwards. I want a re-match with them in March.

I HATE whining about the refs. If you want to win a game, then you have to play well enough to get far enough ahead that questionable calls don't matter, b/c they happen in every game, on both sides, and I didn't see anything out of the ordinary last night.

IMHO this was the most equally called game I’ve seen all year. Refs didn’t control the game the coaches & players did.

Correct. You can go back and nitpick many calls in most every game. The officials rarely cost someone a game considering how many games are played each night. No team has ever had players make every shot. Referees don't make every call right.

DITTO> although it seems that teams get away with traveling violations more> other than that foul call on Pellom's block refs didn't dictate the game flow....

Not anywhere as obvious as the Louisville game, but it was there. Couple of those go our way and we win.

The foul on Geron was terrible. He did swipe down on the guy, but he never hit him. I think the refs saw the swipe and blew. Overall the game was fair though.

I will say that the Shaq tech changed the game. In less than a minute we were down 6.

You guys are crazy...that erroneous call on the GJ strip was the game. That dunk would've tied it with momentum in our favor.

Ref anticipated he'd go for the foul.

Ref did assume Johnson was going to foul on purpose, so they were quick to blow the whistle. However, the refs did not beat us. We made 2 more mistakes than we could afford to, or we would have won. And every single player and the coach is guilty of screwing up something. They also proved they are pretty dang good and we should build on that.

RE: Decided to blame it on the refs
My ***** was the style of game called by the officials completely favored FL. They have very little depth, we have a lot and we were not able to exploit it because very few fouls were called. The fouls were committed, just not called. Not surprised at all.

The refs are not at fault. Period. Both teams played a hell of a game. The Tigers were never able to make it over the hump and stay there. Florida adapted all night; and when Dixon sat with #4, they made a little push we never fully recovered from.

RE: Decided to blame it on the refs
The things that drove me crazy were the clean block Geton had in Prather late in the second half that they called a foul, and how just about every time Florida set a screen it should have been a moving screen violation. Refs only called it once.
