Shoutout to fans from other schools donating money too!
Pretty soon, you guys will have run out of all the kids in Houston and have to start scouring over here in Louisiana for more kids to send to that game.
04-cheers
I think at some point you can only invite so many kids...probably have reached that.
If only Syracuse could bring in the cash like that when they're raising funds for facility upgrades. 05-stirthepot

With your recent travels, are you done with mod duties? Seems like it04-cheers

So you really think UConn would sell out their allotment: 2 days after Christmas, a 6-6 team and with air fare averaging $600.

UConn fans should understand the huge disadvantage of not being 6-8 hours away by car to a bowl game. Obviously you are just butt hurt over no bowl.

"Oklahoma's win was the first Fiesta Bowl victory since beating Wyoming in 1976. The win also snapped Oklahoma's five consecutive BCS Bowl losses, which includes three titles games and two Fiesta Bowl losses.

After the bowl game, junior Jordan Todman announced that he would forgo his senior year to enter the 2011 NFL Draft. Twelve hours later, Randy Edsall announced that he was leaving Connecticut in order to take the Maryland head coaching job.

Despite receiving more than $2.5 million of the $17 million payout given to the Big East for Connecticut's participation, the Connecticut athletic department estimated it lost $1.8 million by playing in the Fiesta Bowl. Connecticut, which was required to purchase 17,500 tickets to the game, resold only 2,771 of those tickets, resulting in a $2.9 million loss. Travel expenses and other costs comprised the remainder of the deficit."

UCONN fans (fresh off a thrilling 3-9 AAC campaign) talking trash over ticket sales is pretty rich.
