Stop giving up 40 points a game and the backs we have will suffice.

Stop turning the ball back to the opponents after repeated "3 & outs" because we couldn't make first downs when we needed them to keep the ball would be helpful as well. If the opponent can't have the ball, he can't throw any long TD passes or turn their RBs loose on our defense. Of course, there is always the possibility of them running a missed FG back for a TD. LOL

Do you know how many times we dominated time of possession and still lost?

Holy crap!

Watch at roughly the 30 second mark. He gets a sack without ever touching the QB. He drives the tackle backward into the QB and runs them both over.

He's the kind of player that can give people fits. He's obviously strong and is getting under the pads of the OL and pushing them back. If you watch the video he's quicker than a lot of the linemen he's playing against and they're just blocking air. A couple of times they double team him and he splits it and ends of with a TFL. He's fun to watch

"Time of possession" is a great stat, but ONLY IF it is linked to scoring stats in the "Red Zone". Otherwise it can be like Darryl Royal used to refer to yardage gained between the 20s as "alumni yardage" -- yardage which looks good on paper but can be of little use in winning games.

I want UAB to have more "weapons" and you seem to want to win with what and whom we already have or more of the same. Our records over the past several seasons indicate (to me anyways) that "more of the same" is not a good answer to 2014 and beyond.
