I should have said "I think we should be ranked"
I think UAB should at least be getting some votes.

I think if we win out the rest of our OOC games we MAY get some votes, but i dont know. Im not concerned about it. Just hope this team plays up to its ability in conference and finishes with the regular season title.

I honestly don't think it matters if UAB is ranked or not. The only way UAB gets into the NCAAs is to win the conference tournament.
The writing is on the wall.

You are right though that a ranking has nothing to do with an invitation.
I think season after season of dissappointment has jaded my view on it.
Maybe I'm still drinking heavily as the result of this past 2-10 campaign we all suffered through. We ALL needed that UNC win. Cheers.

UAT - 43
UAB - 83
UAT's non-conference strength of schedule - 97
UAB's non-conference strength of schedule - 218
As a followup, the Massey Composite does have UAB ranked higher than UAT. Pomeroy and Moore both have UAT ranked 43rd, which is by far their best ranking.
UAB: mean - 80, median 83
UAT: mean - 93, median 91
