Lembo watch
Any latest word on where he might be going? Last I heard he was interviewing around quite a bit. I would be surprised if he came back.

Keep an eye on the Texas situation. It could create a trickle-down that could affect his status.

Charlie Strong to UT, Lembo to Louisville is possible.

I was thinking of a similar scenario with James Franklin

I don't see Louisville taking Lembo... Louisville athletics has a lot of $$...

I'm sure Pete would be willing to spend it if they gave it to him.

RE: Lembo watch
This is how Lembo gets hired somewhere else this offseason.

Texas hires someone from school A.
School A hires someone from School B.
School B hires Lembo.

Oh, well, now that you've explained it, it's so much clearer to me. 04-cheers

Thanks for breakin' it down, GCD-style.

I think Lenbo's window has closed. Wake and UConn were the 2 he was aiming at and struck out. I think Texas will look to the pros and Lembo is not an Army type. Whats left. There are not too many openings left for dominoes to fall.

At this point I'm not even sure BSU would want him back.

Or they took him back with a pay cut.

Why not? He's interviewing. Him not biting on any offers (or potential offers) would make BSU happy, I'd imagine.

Now, it'd be an insult if he was interviewing at WMU to replace Fleck... or a losing Sun Belt team for, at most, a slight bump in pay.

All BSU needs to do is have some of their players claim he "may have" had willful sexual relations with them. That way, other ADs would be apprehensive in hiring him. Plus, it'd help coin a new term "lembo" -- "Don't be alone in the locker room which coach... he gives a mean lembo!"

It's a little odd though because what has he actually won, really nothing.

They were Eastern Michigan-level bad when he came aboard, though.

We refer to it as the Stan Parrish Effect.

I mean Kill never won anything and he moved up to the Big Ten.

I think what Lembo has done is more impressive than having a Turner Gill fluke year and winning the MAC.

RE: Lembo watch
Lembo is a victim of some bad luck. In a year when his stock is high there are few job openings. It seems like there have been fewer coaching changes this year than the past several years. Unless there is a major domino effect from the Texas hire Lembo is probably stuck at Ball State for another year.

Speaking of the domino effect I'm surprised Mark Richt hasn't been mentioned as a possibility for Texas. Yes he hasn't won the big one but a record of 126-44 and 40 games over .500 in the SEC is not too shabby.
