The bad news was Memphis didn't crack and handled the pressure. That though takes nothing away from the Trojans for a gallant effort, and I've sure some Memphis fans were worried late in the game.

I stayed on their board. You should have heard them.

Yup, just a little.

That was actually very mild. You should see a real meltdown.

I just meant that we were getting to the point where a little doubt was beginning to set in. Too bad we couldn't capitalize on it.

Oh yes, there was definitely doubt. If we would have lost this game, we'd bring this whole board down....seriously 03-lmfao

Like someone said in the thread....Some of these posters are simply batshat crazy.

LOOKING AT THE STATS
Osse had one of his better games.

We shot as well overall as we did from the arc, so we produced very little inside.

White's getting into foul trouble so much is really hurting us. We need him in the game.

Josh Hagins shooting well against Final Four quality guards.

Isom is going to have to contribute some way other than 3-point shooting, because he is not doing that.

What I liked best is that we did not just melt away when they came at us in the second half.

Really good game, Trojans and Trojan fans. You're much better than your record indicates.

Good luck to you guys the rest of the season. You should be in good shape for a strong conference showing.

Nice game and you guys sure seem like high quality fans.

That's an excellent point. Your kids never gave up. Put up a hell of a fight until the very end. I was really really impressed. 04-bow

RE: Memphis game and postgame thread
Our kids played well. Obviously Memphis was not at the top of their game, and their fans were frustrated. But I have to think that our play had at least a little to do with it. If it had been just Memphis, then after the halftime chewing out they would have come out strong. But they didn't. Our guys held them off for 14 minutes of the second half, too.

I give our staff lots of credit for having our kids ready to play. We are not in Memphis' league talent-wise, so if we hung with them we did it on grit and hard work, and that can make up for a lot. (90% perspiration, one man said)

More stats
Devonte keeps putting up impressive numbers. 4 assists against only one turnover, and throw in a couple of steals.

I hadn't noticed earlier that Will had three blocks. He must have been working hard underneath.

We shot WAY above Memphis' opponents' average from the arc.

Josh put up the kind of numbers we have to have out of our 2.

We did not get much help at all from the bench last night. Take way Kemy and it was just dead. Someone has to step up.

Our starting five is really solid (with Devonte or JT). Talent level really drops after that. I really hope Isom can start stepping up.

Interesting that according to the box score we had more fast break points than Memphis.

Very well played and hard fought game by UALR. The Trojans' play had everything to do with how we played and caused frustration among the players and fans.

Good luck the balance of the season. You guys are really good fans.

Will Neighbour is a player that supposedly was looked at by a lot of high major programs. Who else really gave him a "solid" offer, who knows. But I think he is good enough to play at a BCS school. James White is raw, but I also believe he has big time potential. Devonte Smith's (point guard) quickness was apparent even against a team as good as yours. Josh Hagins' (sophomore) performance against your experienced guards also gives me hope. Overall, are talent obviously doesn't compare to yours, but should be could enough to make a run in the Sun Belt.

I'm not so sure it's the talent level, but the experience level. Isom, Hill, Poulter (not available) and Billings are still very young and inexperienced.
I have hope for Isom. I did originally have hope for Billings, but he's got to start showing me more aggressiveness and scoring ability. Hill and Poulter are complete question marks. Speaking of Billings, I just hope the light goes on for him soon. I really want him to succeed, being an Arkansas kid.04-cheers
