Aren't all players risks. And the big schools do sign lots of JUCOs. Some work out some don't.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if Alabama Coach Saban could take over an entire team of 0*'s and beat a team of 3+*'s with 2 yrs of practice for each team... in GENERAL.

Funny how Mr. Saban has never taken on that challenge which renders your point moot.

Saban's first HC job was at Toledo. Went 9-2, his only year there, before becoming the Browns DC.

Well yeah there is THAT one season when he took Toledo's 0*s and beat a team of...no wait the MAC recruits 3*s dont they...and oh yeah he was there for just one year with Dan Simrell's players. :)

And later went to a struggling Michigan State program on probation and got them back on their feet before leaving for LSU. I'm no huge Saban fan but I have to respect what he can do and has done as a coach. BTW, I recently read a quote from a writer who covered the Oilers when Saban was an assistant there. He thought he would bomb as a college coach because he didn't have the personality to be a good recruiter.

That was Kyle Whittingham. Meyer departed Utah several years before that.

Ga Southern added 60 points in the last two weeks. At that rate, we should be number 1 in the SBC by Tuesday.

Did GaState lose three recruits this week?

There is not much difference from 1-8, so no it isn't all that important. Plus, when you see how much it matters to have a 247 representative to make sure all their players receive points, no doubt some bs is mixed in.

Just thought I would join in the bs a little.

Can't have it both ways. Credibility goes out the window.

Head to head doesn't matter either I guess.

Let me ease you worries. The top 8 are close enough that where each team is ranked doesn't matter much. It will matter if a team can break away from pack and start to land a lot of high three stars 85-89.

So can I have my credibility back from you? It is killing me!

2 I think which I think may include the Great 2014 a Greyshirt Controversy. But it's all good, I am told we have backups and at this point something has to give because we are on pace to oversign. I just want a monster RB now to go with the rest of this class.

I noticed your a bit light in the RB commits so far, i figured that would be a bit focus since you are a power I team. Already have a stable of RBs?

Not all that interested in stars, but who else offered the guy. Very pleased with the job SS and Company are doing in their initial year of FBS recruiting. Like they are in there fighting it out with some pretty high level schools on some guys. Prior to moving up a few morons on the App Boards were adamant that moving to FBS wouldn't dramatically impact the level of player we signed. Hard to find those guys right now.

Yes, the best indicator is who else offered. And yes, no doubt our recruiting is improving as well.

They were after a JUCO RB who was a package with a QB. When Arbuckle committed they both backed off. They are still after another JUCO RB who will more than suffice. We have a couple of nice backs on the roster. Think they want a feature back.

Latest commit
Dylan Douglass - 2*, 6'3" 230 OLB from Canyon, TX
Other offers:
UCA, Rice, Yale

We don't have a lot of SBC battles but this is the 3rd or 4th kid we got over Rice and we have 3 over UNT

RE: 2014 Recruiting Rankings
App does have an advantage in the 247 rankings simply because they have a dedicated site that can help get prospects evaluated. The rest of us don't.

Still, that's quite a class for the Mountaineers.

Agreed. 247 has us with commits that have decommitted and other commits not listed; totally throwing off our numbers/rank. In the meantime, ESPN has us 1st in the SBC. I didn't check Rivals because they have WKU but not App, GaSouth, NMSU or Idaho; so not a good gauge..

(I know it's fun to watch/follow but I still wait to see who pans out in a year or two)

If you see an error on your 247 commits email the App team and they will fix it.

Good guys simple as that. App currently shows three players that haven't received a rankings that have multiple FBS offers so our score would also be higher.

I added that one for you on the 247 site.
John is a better man than I for offering to keep everyone's 247 list updated, but I'll help out whenever possible. Just let me know any changes anyone needs.
