That being the 1000/500 Club. He would be the 19th member of the 1000 Point Club. Of the current 18, however, only four are in the top 12 career rebounders (Larry Johnson, Muntrelle Dobbins, Charlie Johnson, Charlie Bell). There is a gap in the media guide from 542 rebounds down to the 500 mark, so there might be a few more who made it. Maybe BTH can find out for us. In any case, he may make a club whose members you can count on one hand - and in three years.

Patrick Newton is researching it, but he thinks the only other member of the club is Jeff Cummings.

Given the fact that it looks like he will be only the 6th person in school history to do it, the PR department needs to make a big deal about this, especially if it looks like he will make it at a home game.

We don't make a big deal out of anything unless it's hanging another Western Division Championship banner for finishing 3rd or 4th overall in the Sun Belt. We have yet to honor the '86 NCAA team that put UALR on the map, until the past twenty plus years, when our present and past administrators let it fall off again, by allowing it to become somewhat of an embarrassment. How many schools with no more worthy accomplishments in their program, would have gone, what now, twenty-seven years without honoring that team at least once? Deplorable.

You certainly don't see much pride in the program from even true-blue longtime Trojan fans. And sadly, the fans are dropping out like flies hit with full can of RAID.
