The same credibility that he had when he left Miami, I guess.

"Updykes" in our workplace are getting nervous and red-eyed because 'little nicky" hasn't signed his contract extension yet. 03-lmfao

The bammers around here were happier & peppier the Monday after the Iron Bowl. Not a peep today about anything.

When Bama fans start leaping from buildings, be sure to remove the bodies quickly from the area. They might cushion the fall for those who follow.

Did anyone ever think that we would ever see a time when Watson was paid to coach & Mack was paid not to coach?

Coach Saban is 63 or so and I would guess he has about 5 more years to make whatever money is offered out there. I don't see him willing to risk "dying in the traces" as Bryant did in 1983. I get the impression that he wants to actually retire someday at that lake house in GA and enjoy family like "normal folks" dream of doing. With 18 "ESPN 300" players committed for 2014, rocking the boat by moving to TX may not be his plan.

He's 62, with an enormous ego and a history of job-hopping.

I suspect losing to Auburn wasn't his plan either.

Larry Brown is 73. That hasn't stopped him from job hopping and taking on new challenges.

RE: OT: Non Return of the Mack
You do realize that Saban has to do with the most irrational fan base in the country, right?(outside of maybe Kentucky basketball) Every time he loses a game, the fan base goes crazy. It happened last year with A&M. It happened this year with Auburn. It most definitely will happen next year with a raw QB. Why would you want to deal with that? The guys has been incredibly successful, and still has to deal with their ****.

Not to mention, Texas has no state tax, and although I've never been to Austin, I can't imagine it isn't leaps and bounds ahead of Tuscaloosa as a place to live.(and you may want to look into that lake house you speak of)

Saban saw how some fans reacted to the field goal kicker after the Auburn game.

I suspect he knows that he would be next on the list with another loss to Auburn.

I have visited Austin several times. I would live there in a heartbeat. Not only is it heads and tails above Tuscaloosa, it's heads and tails above the state of Texas itself.

I'm sure Austin is lovely, but the fact is, you don't have to try very hard to be head and tails above Tuscaloosa.
