The positive effect of this past week.
The two games (UAB over UNC, UNC over Michigan State) has given UAB the best publicity nationally since we beat Kentucky in 2004.

I'm listening to the college basketball podcast with Andy Katz and Seth Greenburg. They were talking about UNC beating Mich state.

Katz was saying that UNC looked bad parlaying at UAB, "but that is an extremely tough place to play". Greenberg interrupted him saying emphatically "UAB is GOOD. That Chad Frazier....wow!!!"

UNC did us three favors last week.
1. Playing us at Bartow
2. Losing to us
3. Proving it wasn't a fluke by beating the #1 team.

don't forget our comeback win last night.

had we lost that one, all that positive energy would've been for naught, at least in the eye of the national media

UNC has yet another chance to prove they are legit against Kentucky (not that beating Louisville and Michigan State didn't already accomplish this).

I think this will prove to be a very good win for us, even if UNC doesn't get those players back.

Our rebounding continues to impress me. We played pretty poorly offensively in both of the last two games and won because our board work.

I listen to CNBC via xm and heard on this financial news station on Thursday about UNC beating Mich St but losing to UAB in prior game. I agree we are on people's radar. If we can keep on winning we will get some love.
