You have to be a Houston Chronicle subscriber to read it.

Accessible if you Google the headline, and then click the link Google provides. F'ing paywalls.

RE: The significance of Rice Stadium
Our radio guys on the pregame show were talking about how they were gonna be suprised if 10k people were there because of the weather and just the fact that Houston doesn't care about Rice. They also mentioned that there was no stories in the Houston Chronicle about the game this morning and one of our columnists who is about 70 was complaining about a elevator being out of order to the pressbox.

Just what our guys were saying, they are clearly bitter about the game being in Houston. I'm not saying they are right, just their observations.

I think bitter is an understatement. I've never seen so many fans ***** about something that seems so trivial. It didn't look well for the fan base as a whole.

The Chronicle had a long story and pre-game analysis on page C4, and picked Marshall to win 28-24. The Houston Texans firing head coach Gary Kubiak yesterday kept us off the front page of Sports.

RE: The significance of Rice Stadium
President Kennedy made his famous "USA to the moon" speech at Rice Stadium, circa 1962(?).
I remember seeing that newscast on the KHOU TV Channel 11 back then. (My parents liked Dan Rather who was anchor man at Channel 11 before he went national).

Well they must not have dug deep enough. I would hate to be in that spot, I like reading about my Herd in 3-10 stories everyday. In 3-8 different newspapers. But it's probably way more fun in Houston than it is Huntington, lol.
