1.) bgSUCKS won.
2.) They cost the MAC MILLIONS of $$$
3.) They cost UT a bowl game
4.) bgSUCKS won.
I have to take the counterpoint on 2 and 3.
2. Maybe I'm perceiving it wrong, but are people who are saying this really thinking that a team should take a dive in the conference championship so the conference can collect a big purse from a member's bowl game? If we were in the championship, is that what we would want the Rockets to do?
3. bgSUCKS had nothing to do with what went down in our games.
BGSU: 21-0 lead, then NOTHING until our last (offensive) series. After we put up 21 unanswered points, their DC magically figured out how to stop us for the rest of the game?
Buffalo: 31-0 at the half. Then their OC magically figures out how to hang 41 points on us? We should have shut their asses out!
Akron: 'nuff said.
We screwed the pooch all by ourselves. But, that's not to say that BGSU doesn't suck.
Coach needs to grow a pair--now that he sees where chivalry got us.
You're taking what I said too literally...

OK. Not talking just about your comment (#2); I hear a lot of people saying, "They (BGSU) cost the conference $8mil." I know I'm in the minority, but I'm glad a (almost) local team won. If anybody is to blame for the lost revenue for the MAC it's the Huskies. It was their opportunity. They sniffed it and left it.

Did you expect BGSU to lose because of this. Toledo could have cost the conference money if we beat NIU. Akron came close too. The Huskies didnt play a very tough schedule and it turned out that the best defense they played ended up winning. I have a feeling some tough times are ahead for NIU as Lynch was the difference a bunch of times. NIU had been bad for a long time so this run was probably well deserved. As we all know you cant win the MAC without a great QB. There are no guarantees going forward for NIU or Toledo or anyone for that matter when you dont know what you'll have at QB.

Thank-you all Toledo fans who voted for Jordan Lynch for Heisman.
We won the fan ballot and Jordan Lynch is officially a Heisman finalist.

Well deserved, and not just for one season's work like some past recipients. Hope he has a strong finish.
