He always looks like that.

Ok, well then he was wearing his I am free Gold Chain..... Your right though, who knows for sure, very few do. How many press conferences have you heard of coming up on a pending arrest? None. When they arrest someone, they do it, then the press release.

Didn't they announced they were going to charge George Zimmerman before they arrested him?

I don't watch Geraldo any longer, no clue.

That would be witty if only Geraldo had covered that story...

For those of us on the inside, and with contacts within the school and local Tallahassee, this has been a closed case for quite a while. A lot of what has been leaked has been one sided and erroneous in many ways. I won't get into specifics but there was not a non-consensual sex act with the witnesses that are available and the accusers actions before and after. I am most disappointed both of these lives will never be the same and being a teenager is tough on us all, and some of our decisions have longer lasting repercussions than others. There has never been a cover-up and those that follow FSU football in some form, should understand the State Attorney in Tallahassee has never done FSU any favors -- Example: Peter Warwick. We are not the SEC and do not ever like being compared to what goes on in Alabama and other SEC hotbeds, especially Gainesville.

Winston has definitely been amazing, and so has Jordan Lynch. Jameis is benefiting from an amazing team for sure, but he has put on quite a show and highlight reel. FSU also plays all their games in Primetime and gets visits from the GameDay crew. What Lynch has done is equally amazing over the past 2 years, but it is tough to overcome the hype of a #1 team. Either player deserves it and of course I hope Winston wins it.

Just wanted to give some perspective from a true FSU fan.

Personally I hope Winston is cleared of any wrongdoing. I have enjoyed watching him play and from some of the locker rooms stuff i have seen he is a clear leader on that team. The Heisman will be well deserved as will a top 3 finish for Lynch. Lets hope both finish strong and both teams find themselves in the bowls they seek.

They would never ever hold a press conference and schedule into 24 hours later to announce someone is being charged. This is just an exercise struck between the two parties. Winston provides cash and the attorney must say no crime was committed. There would be literally no other reason to hold a staged press conference.

Of course, there is another story, where the SA wants to make sure that no one things there were any inappropriateness in his decision since it has become a public spectacle.

In a sense, football fans like yourself, are EXACTLY why there is a press conference tomorrow.

And its football fans like yourself which is why crimes get covered up for a year and don't get treated seriously.

When he is cleared of wrong doing tomorrow it wont be because he is clear of wrong doing, its because football is too important and takes precedence over rape.

you are unreal....there have been too many people accused of crimes, some convicted, who were completely innocent...it happens too often and you are way too quick to judge.

I'm a strong believer in innocent until proven guilty. I honestly have no idea what happened, and idk if the situation was handled properly either. But the kid has a due process NO MATTER WHAT, people need to respect that.

It's too bad the public thinks everyone is guilty because of this or that. You can't name me a case where you haven't been biased one way or the other it's human nature.

If she got raped thats pitiful, if she didnt it's pitiful she's blaming someone. Either way it's a complete lose lose. Did the district attorney handle it properly, probably not, but until there is conclusive evidence, give the kid the benefit of the doubt like the law does.

I just find Bob's comment rather sickening that he hopes he doesn't have to pay for what he did because he enjoys watching him play football, that is really wrong

Do you know with certainty he committed rape? If you are not 100% sure you should never slander anyone like that.

How would you like it if people said things about you that you didn't commit but everyone thought you did.

Wtf is wrong with you.

I said no such thing..what i said is i hope he is cleared of any wrong doing, meaning he did not do anything wrong... you clearly have a hard time comprehending basic english..you are a twisted person to think i meant anything different..

edit: after further though I decided to report that post....you have crossed the line, to assert i hope Winston is cleared even if truly guilt is insulting and slanderous.

Cleared of any wrong doing makes it sound like he did nothing wrong. The dudes DNA was found on her, I mean come on, you know as well as I do if this was anyone else he would have been charged a year ago.

MD - Very eloquently stated! But, PK spun it beyond the speed of light as "not a non-consensual sex act with the witnesses".

I'm actually not feeling that way. The way I go about thinking about it is this:

You may feel bad about 'hoping he did actually rape a girl,' or however you want to word it, but the way I think about it is this: I don't HOPE he did it, I'm just hoping that if he DID do it, he gets charged. Winston is a good Freshman QB, and if he isn't guilty, then he has earned his Heisman award. Sure, I'll be upset that Lynch didn't win it, but I don't want it to be at a poor girls expense.

Well said.
