RE: New Orleans Bowl attendance
And of course, these attendance records by the Cajuns in the NO Bowl represent a strong card in hand when negotiating for future bowl slots, especially for bowls within decent driving distance of the Lafayette/New Orleans market.

Cajun fans are pu$$!es, and love NOLA because it is a FUN destination, climate controlled stadium. Believe me Cajuns will not travel better than stAte to Mobile even though it is a lot closer. Cajuns might travel well to Houston, tons of alumni, and Dallas with climate controlled stadiums.
We would humiliate ULM in the Advocare, ULM about 100 miles, and Louisiana being 200+ miles.

Its not a strong card if the Cajuns are not willing to use it to negotiate. Our administration doesn't have testicals to use any leverage to get the best deal on the table.

You could be right though I think the climate-controlled aspect of Cajun fandom is over-hyped.........certainly not yet tested. As for a party, let's face it, Cajuns are going to party wherever they find themselves.
When we fail to take a good crowd for a top-knotch matchup to the Indy or GoDaddy Bowl, then I'll agree that they're nothing more than a bunch of Lolly Pollies.
