RE: USA Today Sports projects WKU in Independence Bowl
Indy Bowl is waiting for the results of the SEC title game (as if it will change anything) so WKU should be the best team available when they select.

It'll be WKU, ULM, or a PAC 12 school.

WKU is not on their radar....Notre Dame or the Pac-12

Should the Irish choose another destination, the ACC opponent would likely come from the Pac-12, where nine teams qualified for the postseason. The conference has seven tie-ins.

Notre Dame would have to figure a way out of the Pinstripe Bowl to get to Shreveport. I am still hearing that an SBC school can beat out a PAC 12 school for that game.

My source is better. As of Monday Evening, The Independence Bowl could not decide between an SBC or PAC 12. SBC schools sell more tickets. Sponsors want PAC 12 for TV.

The only way Notre Dame could get involved with this mess is if they worked a deal to get out of Pinstripe...but to do that, I think they would probably try to get the Poinsettia and Pinstripe to swap a MAC team with ND.

Notre Dame has no desire to play in Shreveport.

Here's WKUApollo's response (aka Doubting Thomas' response)....No chance in Hell for WKU. If it's a SBC school, it'd be ULM but doubtful a SBC school gets another Bowl anyway.

Mac has back up for st pete. I guess anything can happen but I don't see it. My darkhorse for MT is B'ham against Vandy. MT will trade spots in the BOB with Syracuse.

For that to happen, Birmingham has to come open, meaning Rutgers and SMU need to lose Saturday.

I heard Espn is pulling strings to get ND in Hawaii. Grain of salt as rumor mill is in full swing but I see some things that could happen.

Hey Raiders, I saw that ya'll lost at home to Belmont last night breaking your impressive home winning streak. Belmont is a tough little program. They'd kill WKU right now because our shooting percentage is somewhere in the negatives I believe.

No it will be a trade. CUSE is already slotted for compass according to several projections. So. Fla is full of new yorkers and it is much easier to fly to Tampa than B'ham from NY. Bham is less than 3 hours for MT. If we play Vandy we would bring 3 times as many as Cuse. They would bring 3 times as many as us to Tampa. It makes sense so it will not happen hence me saying darkhorse.

That's what killed us last night. I have never seen us shoot so poorly. Just missed uncontested shot after uncontested shot. I thing we came in a little too juiced. We will play better.

Belmont is extremely disciplined and they execute their plan so well. We shot like crap and that didn't help. They certainly have our number. Saw somewhere that they've beaten us something like 6 out of the last 7 times we played.
