RE: Dontari Poe [article in USA Today]
Dontari is doing well in the NFL. His conditioning and the fact the game has slowed down for him this year vs his rookie year is presenting problems for the O-Line he lines up against. QB's as well.
"Poe, who missed only two plays in Sunday's loss to the Denver Broncos, has tallied 804 defensive snaps in 2013 — 85 more than any other defensive tackle in the NFL."
"Essentially, Poe has played over a full game more than peers such as Tampa Bay Buccaneers Pro Bowler Gerald McCoy (second with 719), Buffalo Bills anchor Marcell Dareus (sixth, 674) and Detroit Lions star Ndamukong Suh (seventh, 666)."
"I don't see anything where he's fatigued at this point. He's maintained his play level, and he's been healthy," coach Andy Reid said.

He'll be, IMO, the strongest player in NFL history by the time he's finished.

He's currently a long way from that.

A couple of NFL strength people I know believe he'll break all the records. And he'll do it clean which is even more impressive.

Well his bench press is 200 pounds less that what Larry Allen did. Brian Orakpo has benched 515 while weighing 50 lbs less than Dontari. And I'm pretty both of them are clean too. But Poe is definitely in the top 1% of the top 1%.

His squat and dead lift totals, along with the power clean, are all ahead of the others.

Larry Allen also squatted 900 lbs. Casey Hampton benched over 600 and squatted 800. Sam Rayburn benched 540 and squatted 960. All those numbers are ahead of Poe.
I love Poe. But he isn't the strongest in NFL history.

Like I said, by the time he's through, he'll be the strongest player in NFL history. Key words, by the time he's through.

Well he's got a long ways to go to catch Allen. I hope he does it. But the important thing is the guy is turning into an All-Pro.
