Bowl Projections by Stewart Mandel, Sports Illustrated. (My guess is Mandel is correct on Beavers, as finishing with five straight losses, the Beavers would not bring many disappointed OSU fans.) Both CUSA and ACC have strong opportunities to make statements on the national stage.
"Finally, we finished with 77 bowl eligible teams for 70 spots. The teams left out hail primarily from the NonAQ leagues, but barring some back-room deals, one of the four 6-6 AQ teams, Washington State, Oregon State, Pittsburgh, and Syracuse, will stay home too. I went with the Beavers, who ended the year with five straight losses."
