UNT fans have got to love that schedule. Who knows where Texas' program will be....chance to beat I-have-no-idea-why-they-were-picked-by-the-AAC SMU team at home, and another chance against a Big Ten team.

NT beat Indiana 24-21 in 2011. The only game NT has played against a Big 10 team. 2014 is the first year of a 3-3 or 4-4 home-home with SMU.

NT could possibly go undefeated with that OOC schedule. If I were betting on it though, I'd probably pick them to lose to Texas, but win the others. Very good opportunity for UNT with this schedule.

UNT fans correct me if I'm wrong but don't you lose a lot of seniors on both sides of the ball? If so then even a lowly but rising B1G team like Indiana, especially on the road, may be a tough out. I like the schedule though as it will make for an exciting start to the 2014 season.

An 8 man rotation was used in the D line, so there is returning playing time there. LB backups got a fair amount of game time and a 4-star transfer from Oregon could end up as the MLB. Losing 1 from a good O line. Returning 3 experienced RBs.

NT has the capable players, they just need to step up.07-coffee3

Nice schedule, could definately start 3-1.

Noticed you guys had no fcs game this past season, any particular reason?

It's an FCS school that counts towards a bowl game.

I'm really happy with our OOC. I think this is the plan for the near future, buying an FCS game, and either SMU or Army at home OOC. Good way to pad our schedule.

RE: Appears That The 2014 OC Games Are Set For North Texas
I like the schedule. But, Texas is getting better and should be stronger next year. We need to be careful what we wish for with this one. I don't see this as a winnable game in Austin, unless the stars align perfectly.

Indiana is much better than they were when we beat them recently. A winnable game IF we can field a team next year that does not take a big step backwards in chemistry (I don't expect them to).

Gilbert will be gone, which should help our chances at home against SMU next year. Our fans will be up for this one like no other.

We better not lose to Nichols. I would be happy with 2-2 start.

North Texas traditionally has played few FCS teams. Since 2000 we've played 3 (Samford 2000, Nicholls State 2002 and Texas Southern 2012).

We have played some transitional type teams with FAU, FIU, Troy, WKU and UTSA if those count.

Transitional teams played due to the same conference affiliation.

Nobody gives a f uck if you're happy. The only padding was your moms bra before the gang bang started at your inception.
