Very excited to have Coach Haase at UAB..........big things in store for Southside!

Does he know anything about football?

No, thank you Coach, for bringing excitement and renewed hope to our basketball program, and thank you for taking our minds off the misery that is the football program.

I got to see Coach Haase close up for a few seconds for the "chalk talk" before the game. It was my first time seeing and hearing him in person.

Very well spoken and outgoing. Seemed confident but not cocky. Very thankful to the fanbase and was excited about building that type of atmosphere night in and night out.

He seems to be doing almost everything right so far in his tenure. I'm very happy to have him.

Well...we did hold UNC to less points than USM scored on us in football. Maybe he could be the new defensive coordinator.

He's the anti-Davis. So refreshing, and a first class guy all around. Everyone who dumps on Mackin around here needs to take a step back and recognize.

Agreed. Folks are quick to criticize Mackin for everything else, but not so quick to give him credit on the Haase hire. Granted, we haven't made it to the post-season under Haase yet, but I feel pretty confident that drought will end this year.

I love what Haase is doing and Mackin does deserve credit for making what appears to be a good hire. That means he's made exactly the same number of good hires as Herman Frazier.

Before it is over, Coach Norton will appear to be a very good hire also, IMO.

Audra smith was a good hire as well.

I think Brian Shoop was a great hire as well. He hasn't had a great season every year, but he's done some good things and he is a class act.

Haase is the anti Davis in his demeanor, personality, and how he's running the program.

Somebody needs to ask Coach Haase to change the background photo to one of the floor and crowd at the UNC game. Hint Hint!

Why bother him with it? Ask the interns...you know, the ones actually making and scheduling out the e-mails in advance?

Yes, because everyone here thought Coach Haase was doing all of his own administrative work.
