Tighter lineup, no pressing?
Seemed like two of the bigger changes in this OK State win was a tighter rotation, and none of the (ineffective) pressing that resulted too often in quick & easy buckets for the other guys?

yep, a great adjustment by JP. to be honest it's one I didn't think he'd make. but he proved me wrong.

Appears Josh realized that pressing a team with such good guards is a recipe for disaster. Was very pleased we scrapped the press.

Started in the last ten minutes of the LSU game, and it's clearly working.

RE: Tighter lineup, no pressing?
It is the really tough part of having such a deep team. We have players that saw very few (or no) minutes that could log a lot minutes on other teams. I know JP wants to play them all but he is doing a good job of condensing the rotation. I was shocked he took out the press, but it was obviously a great decision. IMO it was a huge jump in maturity for the team and JP.

An even bigger change than those two factors was going inside out. The team is much more effective playing that way

Used basically 6.
My guess will be against tougher competition the rotation will be 8.
Add King and Pellom to the mix of Joe, Geron, Shaq, Dixon, Nichols and Crawford.
Good part is- you still have Woodson, Iverson and Wilson who can play and will get better.

I believe King's minutes are being limited because of his free throw woes. He gets to the line a lot, but he's not converting.

If anyone noticed he changed his routine he no longer bends down real low before shooting, he still missed both though.

I believe players should sit if they are a liability at the free throw line. especially at the end of a close game. Free throw percentages are usually worse than the actual stat, if you consider missing the front end of one and ones and the fast break opportunities that they create for the other team, it is so much more than a missed one point shot.

All could play if the trust factor is there from coaches and teammates( the talent is there). Busted assignments kills
