Folks, it was a great win for a number of reasons.

1. MEMPHIS came back 12 days after getting the hell beaten of them at OSU to beat OSU on a neutral court. This wasn't MONTHS later in March; this was less than two weeks ago.
2. Pastner flat out put the game plan in and made adjustments to beat # 5 OSU. Mr. Smart was basically shut down after scorching MEMPHIS with 39 back in November. The "too nice, claps too much, never cusses = not a coach" tirades thrown at Pastner just ended.
3. The TIGERS lost a bit of composure in the final 8 minutes of the first half but came back strong in the second half. OSU got rattled and simply panicked; they are not used to tight games. They are better when up 25 or so.
4. This silences the never-ending "no top 20 win" mantra Pastner HAD been getting. This wasn't a top 20 win...it was a top 5 win.
5. This win serves notice MEMPHIS will be a key team in AAC play this winter.

Now, are there concerns with this team? Yes, but this is not the time to delve into those. Tonight is for celebration for a kick @ss win over the # 5 OSU Cowboys.
