JL won't be running over or swatting these guys away like he did WMU. They'll be wrapping him up at the ankles.

I just went through the highlights of the BG v. Buffalo game on ESPN.com, abysmal coverage by the Buffalo DB's.....Johnson seemed solid and put the ball in good spots but there was literally one where the DB falls down 1 second before the ball arrives....

Also, check out the Toledo game....Fluellen and Hunt were running right through guys on a few gashing runs

Quote:I'm sure the team will know the difference between playing 6-6 CMU and 9-3 BGSU for the MAC Championship.

I know -- of course. But the level of comfort at the end of the day, is all. Going into it like they were playing Ball State -- then it'll be great. Going into it with mind on the BCS even though trying not to, and BGSU in a nutshell as a team that's supposed to lose, it will make a team more prone to mistakes, etc. I'm not assuming the team will have an unoptimal mindset -- just saying what to look out for, that's all.

And for Heisman, if Florida State loses to Duke by turnovers, etc. -- and NIU does the wise thing going the balanced attack route, which means more passing for Lynch, and he lights up the BGSU D (300 yards passing, 120 yards rushing) -- he may actually WIN the Heisman.

But Duke is a 29pt underdog.

I think Duke is going to give FSU a run a lot like Boston College did, but of course FSU will pull it out. JL is going to need an epic performance throwing and running against BGSU with all the Heisman voters watching. NIU has a LOT to play for Friday: MAC title, BCS, long-shot Heisman... Does it get any better?

One thing I noticed is both QBs throwing the ball up and it being basically a jump ball between WR and DB. More often than not the WR got it since the DB didn't turn around or see the ball coming in.

I was thinking along the lines of 49-24 FSU. Duke will score a bit, but Famous Rapist is gonna do bad things to their D.

I've been just as impressed with Benjamin as I have been with the FSU QB. They're both future NFL Hall of Famers... Well if one can stay out of jail.

245 yards on the ground for Lynch in the MACC could do it for him. Unlikely but certainly possible.

13 people voted him either 1st 2nd or 3rd, but 10 of those voters dont even have him in the top 3

How McCarron is in the discussion is beyone me, especially after their loss and the fact that nothing he does is amazing. He throws to 1st round NFL draft picks, has 1st round draft picks blocking for him and has 1st round draft picks to hand the ball off to, COME ON MAN!

2. QB Jordan Lynch, Northern Illinois: 3-7-7 = 30

Looks like 17 votes to me.

Winston was ranked first on 22 ballots and was left off of three. Means there's 26 total votes. So he was left off of 9.

So the only chance Lynch has is for charges to be brought by the end of the week. I believe voting is completed by Sunday. I still can't believe that if I was a voter, I would not investigate Winston more, I wouldn't want to have egg on my face by voting for him then having to run for cover if he is charged and convicted.

Agreed, why not just vote for Lynch and let the Winston thing play out, you can always vote for him NEXT YEAR

Also, Winson isnt going to be hurting for recognition and gets to play in NC game

The Heisman trust's nine-member committee would be responsible for determining what would happen if Winston is charged after the voting closes.

"We have a long-standing policy not to comment on hypothetical situations," Heisman Trophy coordinator Tim Henning told ESPN's Brett McMurphy on Wednesday. "Any discussion of a potential revote would have to be made by the Heisman Trophy trust. At the end of the day, the trust makes all decisions to anything pertaining to the Heisman."

There has never been a revote in the history of award, which was first handed out in 1935. Only one winner -- USC's Reggie Bush -- has "forfeited the title" as Heisman winner, Henning said.

Can't base your vote by guessing how an investigation will end up. Innocent until proven guilty.
Id be ecstatic with Lynch coming in 2nd.

I would still research. Would make the person voting for him look dumb IMHO. But we are talking about sports writers and commentators so....

Exactly what would you research or investigate about Winston?
